In my studio we use Glad's PRESS & SEAL over platstic plates.  Less garbage.  But you can also use the inside of your ceral boxes that holds your cereal.

You can use a 3 lbs margarine tub and glue a Soap holder with the little bumbs on it to the bottom and use the lid as a pallette.

I shall pass through this life but once.

Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness I can show, let me do it now.

Let me not defer or neglect it. For I shall never pass this way again.

Mops should be used dry. Clean mops in alcohol for faster drying as alcohol is anhydrous, meaning the moisture evaporates quicker. Midway in a project, try rubbing the dirty mop on an alcohol soaked cloth to remove residual paint ... it should dry quickly for continued use.  Buy denatured alcohol from the pharmacist ... it is much stronger than rubbing or vodka and has no additives.

If you are going to use a book for reference, alway put it into a zip lock bag and then you won't get paint on the pages.

Use a rubbermaid egg holder for storing and mixing paint.  With the lid it makes for a great seal.

Before you start to paint place all your bottle upside down.  Now get everything else ready.  This makes mixing the paint faster and not so hard.

Take an index card and put little samples of the paint you used for your project.  Don't forget the maker of the paint as well.  Now keep them in binder. Plus put in the size of brushes to. So easy.
